Cats as Pets and Why You Should Get One
Current Mood:
Happy
Recently my brother and his wife bought some cute kittens. They’ve just moved to a new house with a big lawn and their kittens just love it. I will post some pictures here once I get permission to do so from them.
I used to have a female cat called Betty. It was orange in color, had a cute small face and was very adorable. Betty used to wait for me to come back from work. Her favorite food was Whiskas, salmon flavor. Sadly we had to give Betty away as we were going outstation for extended periods of time and couldn’t take her with us.
Well, below are 5 reasons why you should get CATS as pets …
1.) Cats don’t ask for cash, credit cards, cars, condos or cruises.
2.) They aren’t jealous if you play with other felines.
3.) Cats are easy to bribe, give them fish and they’re happy.
4.) Cats don’t mind if you have a beard or mustache. They have whiskers too.
5.) Cats will adore you no matter what. Even if you haven’t showered.
Types of Pets for Different Folks
So you want to have a pet but you’re unsure of what to have? Different folks have different needs and characters, so choose a pet that’s suitable for you…
If you’re allergic to fur…
Pets like cats, dogs and rabbits may not be suitable for you. Choose a pet that ain’t furry. Fishes, tortoises and iguanas will make suitable pets for you.
If you hate noise…
Some dogs or cats can be extremely noisy, especially when they want to mate. Pet birds can be noisy as well.
Rabbits and hamsters are pretty quiet and the only noise from them is when they’re jumping around in their cages or playing with something. Fishes and tortoises are silent too and at the most, you’ll only hear tiny splashes from the aquarium.
If you hate tidying ‘poop’…
Be honest with yourself. If you’re the type that squirms at every poop you find outside in parks or hate the smell of zoos, then you’d better not have cats, dogs, rabbits or any pets that excrete smelly big excretions (I’m talking from experience here!). Caring for fishes would be a better option for you as their poop is small and not noticeable. Small tortoises are fine too but you must clean their cages often to prevent the ‘turtlish’ odour …
If you’re looking for a lovable pet that adores you…
Dogs and cats are lovable pets, they will greet you at the door and bark/miaow a welcome for you every time they see you. Rabbits can be lovable too if you’re kind and gentle to them and like to stroke their fur. Hamsters like to run with their ‘crowd’, so they are not too loving to you except when it’s time for food. Reptiles and turtles will acknowledge you once they get used to you but it’s not the same like dogs or cats. Out of all pets, dogs and cats will adore you the most and will show it.
Well, that’s it for now. Hope it will guide you a bit in choosing that perfect pet.
