Cat and Dog Halloween Costumes

Let’s face it, most of us are probably going to dress up our dogs or cats for this coming Halloween as they are the most common pets in a home and they are easy to ‘dress up’.

There are many different Halloween costumes for your dog or cat. It just depends on how much you plan to splurge for Halloween and whether your beloved pooch or Garfield is willing to put on the pet costume you bought!

The slide show below shows photos of some Halloween costumes for your pets to give you some ideas on how you can dress up your cat or dog.

Of course, you can always opt to design your own pet Halloween costumes so I’ve included a few books in the slide show, for you to peruse.

Halloween costumes for your pets can be: bought, custom-made or self-made. Just ensure that your pets are:

1.) Comfortable wearing the pet costumes.
2.) The pet costumes are safe and made from non-toxic material.

You can dress up with matching costumes with your pets. If you have many pets, you can also dress them all in similar costumes or create a team of warlock and witches’ pets.

Have a Happy and Safe Halloween, for both yourselves and your pets!

Why Your Cat May Hate Using the Litter Box

There are many reasons why your cat may not want to use a cat litter box. This can cause major problems for you as a cat owner, especially when guest are coming over and your cat’s leaving a special ‘door gift’ for your friends and family.

Here are some reasons why your cat is avoiding the litter box and choosing to ‘poop’ behind your sofa or under your bed instead:

1.) The cat litter box is dirty. You yourself will avoid a dirty public toilet, so don’t be surprised if your feline pal refuse to use the litter box because it is filthy. Do ensure that you clean out the litter box every day.

2.) The litter box is too small. If you have a big cat, it may feel uncomfortable doing its ‘business’ in a small litter box. Choose a litter box with ample space for your cat to sit comfortably in.

3.) Too few litter boxes for too many cats. Vets recommend that you provide 2 litter boxes for one cat. If you have many cats, do provide many litter boxes around the house. Imagine having 5 cats or kittens but providing only one litter box for your pets! Your cats will surely start making their own litter box around your house.

4.) Location of litter box is unsuitable. Do ensure that the litter box is placed in a quiet, comfortable place that is accessible to your cats. Don’t put your litter box in a noisy area like near a washing machine. Don’t put the cat litter box in a hot area like near a stove or kitchen. Keep your litter boxes away from area prone to rain, like near an opened window or a balcony. Your cats will refuse to use the litter box if it was kept in a wet area.

5.) Kittens and older cats may want an enclosed litter box for privacy. Do ensure that the opening to the litter box is big enough for your cats.

The main thing to remember is that you must always keep you cat litter box CLEAN.
